The Senior Resource Association has information and referral specialists who help you connect with resources and programs in the community that supplement what you receive through assisted living, including prescription drug assistance, durable medical equipment loans and transportation. It also has a choral group open to those aged 55 and over, giving them the opportunity to build social connections and cultivate their vocal talent while providing a valuable service to the community.
The Area Agency on Aging of Palm Beach/Treasure Coast provides two dozen programs and initiatives to meet the needs of those aged 60 and over in the Vero Beach region. Through this organization, older adults can connect with options counselors who help them assess their care needs and budgets and find long-term care options and public benefits that may help pay for services. The office also provides direct services such as transportation, congregate meals, social and recreational activities and evidence-based wellness programs.
