Longmont, Colorado, is a suburb of the state’s capital of Denver and is about 30 miles north of that city’s center. It’s known for its craft brewing scene and offers a special trolley to allow visitors to tour the breweries and sample the beers. Residents of Longmont have the benefits of both a big city and a smaller town because they have ready access to the amenities of Denver while being able to relax in the slower pace of Longmont. The city is bisected by Boulder Creek, a brook with waterside walking trails and plenty of opportunities for fly fishing. Further away are the Rocky Mountains, a popular destination for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.

Colorado Medicaid, known as Health First Colorado, administers an assisted living waiver, called the Elderly, Blind or Disabled waiver, which pays for home health care and caregiver services or accommodations in assisted living for eligible residents.
