Francis Of Assisi Community

Francis of Assisi Community was developed in 1979 by Catholic Charities/Catholic Social Services. With the diverse resident population that represents many languages and cultures, all staff and residents share the common goal of helping and supporting one another. Everyone works to provide the ongoing sense of community that the founders of the building envisioned 30 years ago when they chose the name Francis of Assisi Community to reflect both the City of San Francisco and the residents. Mercy Housing has rehabilitated 35 apartments and have plans to continue the rest of the units over the next few years.
