The Woodlands Assisted Living Financial Assistance
The Woodlands residents may be eligible for help paying from assisted living under Texas’s Assisted Living Waiver. The state calls this program the STAR+PLUS HCBS program, and it’s open to all those who receive Texas Medicaid and Social Security Income. To apply, seniors must demonstrate that they require a nursing home level of care, although, with this waiver, recipients don’t have to live in a nursing home. Instead, they may opt for residence in an assisted living facility or remain in their own home and pay for home care aides or a friend or relative to perform caretaker duties.
