The Genworth 2020 Cost of Care Survey discloses that seniors in Medina pay $4,875 per month for assisted living, which is several hundred dollars higher than the national median of $4,300 and the state average of $4,350. In Kentucky, monthly fees are among the lowest in the region at $3,699 per month, and in Pennsylvania, care costs are slightly higher at $3,955. West Virginia residents pay $4,000 per month for assisted living services, and Indiana facilities charge approximately $4,350.
Medina is among the most expensive cities in Ohio for assisted living. The only surveyed city with higher monthly rates is Dayton, where seniors pay approximately $5,245 for care. In the Canton area, rates average $4,633 monthly, and in Columbus, seniors pay $4,500. In Cincinnati, fees are a little more economical than in Medina at 4,750 per month.

Ohio’s Assisted Living Waiver Program covers assisted living services for qualifying individuals in Medina.
