Macon’s average monthly price for assisted living is $675 less than the Georgia average of $3,535 and $1,640 less than the U.S. average of $4,500.
According to Genworth’s study, the only Georgia city that reports an average monthly price for assisted living care lower than Macon is Warner-Robins, where residents pay $2,750 monthly. The other side of the price range is represented by Brunswick; its seniors pay $5,300 a month for assisted living care, $2,440 more than Macon’s. The average price for assisted living in Georgia’s capital, Atlanta, is fairly close to the state average at $3,845, but still roughly $1,000 more per month than Macon. Average prices are also four digits above in Athens, where residents pay $4,184 a month for assisted living care, and in Columbus, where they pay $4,223 a month.
