WACOG Area Agency on Aging(928) 753-6247As the Area Agency on Aging that serves Lake Havasu and surrounding communities in the western part of the state, the Western Arizona Council of Governments provides those aged 60 and over and their families with a number of direct and indirect services. Direct services include health care counseling, fall-prevention workshops and classes designed to help seniors manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Indirect services include referrals to local, state and federal resources as well as assistance filling out forms and otherwise handling the red tape often involved in accessing these resources.
Lake Havasu Senior Center(928) 453-0715Lake Havasu seniors can join their peers for a congregate lunch five days per week at Lake Havasu Senior Center as well as enjoy a variety of classes and activities, such as group fitness sessions, community outings, arts and crafts projects and card games. They can also receive help filing their state and federal taxes and get information about relevant community-based services. 

American Legion Post 81(928) 855-2552Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible for membership in the American Legion. Eligible members can receive emergency financial assistance as well as help with the often complex process of identifying and applying for federal service-based entitlement programs. The organization also participates in a number of community-betterment programs, providing members and their families with plenty of chances to interact with other military families. 
Havasu Mobility (928) 453-7600Havasu Mobility offers senior citizens, veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces, low-income residents of Havasu City and disabled persons access to local supermarkets and shopping centers, community events, social activities and medical appointments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., state and federal holidays excepted. Fares are $2 each way for curbside service, although seniors receive free transportation to and from local senior nutrition sites such as Lake Havasu Senior Center. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance, and same-day service is not guaranteed. 
Arizona Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program(928) 217-7114The Arizona Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is designed to provide advocacy services for those living in long-term care situations, and if necessary, to intervene on the behalf of residents to ensure that their rights are protected and they are receiving necessary services. The program also provides education for families and staff at facilities about long-term care issues.
