In Tennessee, care costs tend to be lower, with the typical facility charging $4,039 for this level of care. All of Tennessee’s bordering states are even more affordable for assisted living. In Alabama, fees are the lowest in the nation at $3,150, and in Kentucky, seniors pay $3,699 on average. Rates in Mississippi and North Carolina are similarly affordable at $3,713 and $3,800, respectively. Assisted living fees in Gallatin are consistent with regional averages at $3,720 per month.
With fees at $3,720 per month, Gallatin is among the more affordable options in Tennessee for assisted living. One of the few cities with lower care costs is Morristown, where rates are 8% lower at $3,435 per month. In Knoxville and Clarksville, monthly rates are closer to the state median at $3,900 and $4,190, respectively. In Chattanooga, fees are the highest in the state at $4,515.
