From its Spokane location, Spokane Veterans Home caters to the veteran residents of the state of Washington as well as to certain family members of veterans. Spokane is also home to the Mann-Grandstaff Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Additional options for medical care in the city include the MultiCare Deaconess Hospital and the Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Spokane Veterans Home gives its residents 24-hour nursing care, medical assistance and pharmacy services. Hospice care is available, too, as is help with personal hygiene. The staff also oversees occupational and physical therapy as well as speech-language pathology services, when appropriate.
