Welcome to Penney Retirement Community! Penney Retirement Community has a rich history built on the Christian values of businessman J.C. Penney, who founded PRC in 1926. With a tradition of healthful, engaged and abundant living, PRC offers residents a different approach to their retirement years.
PRC is unique among retirement communities not only because of our beautiful natural setting, but because residents are encouraged to be part of the governance of the community. Additionally, many residents volunteer their time in the community or the surrounding towns, offering their knowledge and skills to others. As a non-profit, 501©(3) organization, Penney Retirement Community focuses on people over profits, and continually invests in improving the facilities while keeping PRC one of the most affordable retirement communities.
In some families, PRC has become a tradition. By adding their names to our Penney Priority List, future residents, many of whom are the children and grandchildren of former and current residents, build seniority to have first choice of available homes when they are ready to move. We currently have several families whose parents were here and whose children are on the Penney Priority List for when they retire.
