Our boutique-style residence offers residents the tranquility of living in a laidback, tree-lined neighborhood with the sights of downtown Evanston, such as plays at the Marriott Theater or concerts at the Northwest University Music Academy, just moments away.
The Highlands at King Home is one of five communities owned by Presbyterian Homes. For more than 100 years, our nonprofit, faith-based organization has served older adults throughout the greater Chicago area. We strive to be an industry leader in developing innovative and quality residential programs that enrich the lives of older adults.
We offer maintenance-free living without household chores at The Highlands at King Homes. Our one- and two-bedroom apartments have all the comforts of home with the added security of help being close at hand. Apartments include in-suite climate controls, an emergency call system and a kitchenette in select units.
Through our Life Enrichment program, our residents have many activities to attend throughout the day. Residents may be found in the billiards or club room challenging each to pickup games, while the hobby shop is available for working on projects. We promote wellness not only by offering engaging activities, but also by encouraging physical fitness. At the Kimble Fitness Center, our residents have access to a fitness pool, a spacious exercise room and exercise classes.

In the elegant main dining room, our residents gather at mealtime to dine on delicious meals served restaurant-style. There is also a private dining room available for when friends or family come to visit. Other conveniences that we offer include an on-site beauty salon/barber shop, computer lab and scheduled transportation.
When joining The Highlands at King Home, residents may choose from three personalized levels of assistance. Included in these levels are weekly housekeeping, assistance with activities of daily living and a wellness nurse to oversee a resident’s health.
At The Highlands at King Home, we provide the assistance that Evanston-area seniors need to remain as independent as possible.
