Transition

Making the transition from home or hospital can be trying for man; that's why we have a skilled professional social worker on staff to assist your loved one in making the living adjustments necessary for a positive acceptance of their new home, and of themselves.

To assist in this task, an active resident council meets monthly to discuss all aspects of living at Mission Healthcare. Their ideas and suggestions are responded to quickly and professionally by our administrator and department managers.

Because some residents, particularly those diagnosed with Alzheimer's, have more severe cognitive impairments, we offer a secure environment for them. These residents are free to function within a structured and electronically secured environment that assures peace of mind for families and friends, yet preserves their individual dignity. A secured courtyard provides a natural setting for outdoor activities and relaxation, providing fresh air, sunshine and the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature. Our staff has special training and understanding of individuals with cognitive impairments.
