Located north of Carroll, Journey Senior Services sits on a sprawling piece of beautiful farmland on the outskirts of this quaint agricultural community. Carroll is situated in west-central Iowa and is the area’s regional business hub. It’s also home to the St. Anthony Regional Hospital, which offers medical services and emergency care.
With room for 24 residents, Journey Senior Services is the area’s largest memory care facility dedicated to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The 24/7 staff is specially trained in memory care and can assist with activities of daily living, medication management and many other health care services. All meals are provided with special attention to dietary needs, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, kosher, low sodium, diabetic and food allergies. Snacks are always available, and there’s an on-site café/bistro. The courtyard at Journey Senior Services features three covered sitting areas for outdoor visiting and enjoying the country views. Activities, including sing-alongs, arts and crafts, puzzles and trivia, are planned regularly to stimulate mind and body and provide recreation for attendees. The building is designed with two family rooms, a library and a nondenominational chapel.
