Home health care includes a broad range of periodic or intermittent skilled nursing care including education and disease management, and other skilled care services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Services may also include medical social services or assistance from a home health aide. As part of any Senior Care Program, our Infusion Pharmacy is standing by to provide patients with access to medications that are delivered using intravenous therapy through an access device such as peripheral needles or central IV lines. Therapy for patients with physical (PT), occupational (OT), and speech and language (ST) needs is available in the home. PT improves mobility, range of motion, muscle strength, reduces chronic pain and restores balance and coordination. OT increases independence with everyday living and household tasks such as eating, grooming and dressing. ST assists patients with difficulty swallowing or other memory problems as well as learning/regaining the ability to communicate.
