Haven Care – Aspen House is nestled in a residential neighborhood in Albuquerque, NM, close to the quaint downtown area. Albuquerque is a desert city, the largest in New Mexico, which allows seniors to access the world-class health care and amenities a bigger metro area affords. The city is close to the mountains, which nature-loving seniors may enjoy exploring.
Haven Care is a close-knit community, with room for just five residents. Friendly caretakers are available around the clock to help with mobility and personal care, including medication management, glucose monitoring and insulin injections. A visiting nurse provides monthly well-checks. Each resident has a personal care plan that can include services from visiting occupational and physical therapists. Meals are prepared with fresh ingredients and input from the residents. An activities director visits the community for a couple of hours each day to coordinate group games or hobby groups and arrange for outings into the city. A shared living room and TV area is open for movies or the use of the computer, while outside, a furnished patio and lawn encourage residents to get fresh air. Weekly transportation is provided.
