Built as a non-profit partnership project with OU Medical School, Wakita Community Health Center is located in a small, rural setting. It services the north-central Oklahoma area, including Pond Creek, Nash, Medford, Enid and Alva communities. The center provides quality care in a homelike environment. Wakita CHC is a member of LeadingAge and follows the Quality First Covenant.
Wakita Community Health Center offers skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapy and respite care, where meaningful relationships between residents and caregivers are nurtured. Aside from the 52 beds offered in the main healthcare center, there are eight independent living one- and two-bed units for residents who are still active. Available amenities include the Garden View Cafe, Whirlpool Spa baths, religious services and a variety of social activities. A van is available for medical appointments and outings. There is also an active volunteer and intergenerational culture program.
