Ascension St. Vincent Evansville hospital is just a block away, allowing almost immediate access to high-level care, and there are two more major hospitals within 4 miles.
Oasis Dementia Care is a secure community for people with Alzheimer’s or other memory disorders. Personal assistance and nursing are available 24/7, and residents are provided with meals, laundry and housekeeping services, transportation and activities. Residents can take part in over 140 hours of activities per week, such as music therapy and light exercise, throughout 10 common rooms, many of which are specifically designed for people with Alzheimer’s. Social interaction is encouraged via group activities, and residents can also get some quiet time in the secure courtyards with a putting green and gardening spaces. Each of the 300 square-foot units has individualized heating and cooling, as well as emergency call systems. A small kitchenette and private bathroom with accessibility modifications are also standard. Families are welcome to furnish their loved one’s unit with items from home.
