The Village at Richardson

A peaceful residential area harbors The Village at Richardson. The covered driveway facilitates entering and exiting comfortably in inclement weather. Colorful furniture with brass accents decorates the lobby. Residents relaxed and socialized in the comfortable seating areas when we visited. Handrails line the wide hallways. Chandeliers and sconces illuminate the facility. Lamps provide soft lighting in residents’ rooms, which are set up so that wheelchair users may maneuver easily.

Tai chi, movies, religious services and shopping excursions are all popular activities among residents. Residents also enjoy the use of a whirlpool and spa. Assorted games and arts and crafts take place in the spacious and well-lit dining area, where a grand piano takes center stage. Here, yellow tablecloths add cheery elements. The facility boasts several patio areas, two of which open off of the dining room. One area is designated for smoking. The patio furniture appeared well worn and the landscaping was somewhat neglected.
