Welcome to Pittsburgh Housing Authority! The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) provides a wide variety of programs and services designed to empower residents to achieve their self-sufficiency goals. The Authority is firmly committed to assisting able-bodied adults to improve their lives through better employment, education and training through our Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) and Section 3 Resident Employment Programs.
The HACP provides a host of in-house programs designed to connect our residents with the resources they need to become upwardly mobile and economically self-sufficient. In addition to our own programming, HACP has established partnerships with a broad array of local service providers in order to help our residents meet their personal goals and to access assistance in times of need. We are proud to partner with agencies like 412 Food Rescue, Family Resources, The Center for Victims, Just Harvest, Ursuline Support Services, NeighborWorks of Western Pennsylvania and many, many more in order to provide residents with direct access to vital social services.
We recenctly launched the Juvenile Re-entry Assistance Program in collaboration with Duquesne University. This service has been designed to help residents and/or potential residents with access to free, confidential legal services that could lead to the expungement of a criminal record – thereby eliminating one of the most common barriers to obtaining new employment or housing.
We remain firmly committed to changing lives for the better and we are thankful for the hard work and dedicated service provided by our community partners. We are also proud of the thousands of HACP residents currently striving to improve their lives through participation in our FSS and Resident Employment programs.
