Have you planned as if you’ll live to be 100? Maybe you should–1 in every 50 baby boomer women will reach the century mark, according to caregiving expert Sherri Snelling, but many people don’t prepare for such extended longevity.

Choosing a living environment to stay in long term is a key decision that is often underestimated, said Snelling, founder and CEO of the Caregiving Club and author of “A Cast of Caregivers.”

Moving as one ages and needs change can be stressful for the person moving and their loved ones who might be caregivers, Snelling points out.
