Assisted Living in Wichita Falls, Texas

Wichita Falls is located about 100 miles northwest of Dallas, TX, nestled along a bend of the Wichita River. The city is home to the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum, which houses memorabilia from the last several decades. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Lucy Park is a popular spot for people to spend time outside, with walking trails and a swimming pool, while the River Bend Nature Center features nature trails and exhibits. Wichita Falls may appeal to seniors who have health conditions affected by cold weather, as the town has long, hot summers and mild winters with rare snow. Texas doesn’t levy a state income tax, and it doesn’t tax retirement investments or Social Security. This fact, plus a cost of living 25 points less than the national average may make Wichita Falls a great option for seniors with limited means.

There are approximately four assisted living communities in Wichita Falls, with an average monthly cost of $3,495, although the costs for individual facilities will vary.
