Through the local chapter, older adults get one-on-one help connecting with volunteer opportunities that fit their interests and levels of ability. Some service opportunities include tutoring and mentoring children and promoting adult literacy. 
Veterans Affairs (860) 638-4830 Middletown’s Veterans’ Service Contact Person helps veterans and their dependents access VA programs and benefits they’re eligible for, including pension programs and the Aid and Attendance Benefit, which can help pay for assisted living.
