Fitness classes are also available, including yoga, tai chi, qigong and strength and flexibility training. Seniors can also take a variety of arts and crafts classes and the AARP Safe Driver Course. 
Northwest Senior & Disability (503) 472-9441As the Area Agency on Aging for Yamhill County, Northwest Senior & Disability provides referrals and direct services to older adults in McMinnville and surrounding communities. Services include health insurance counseling, case management, physical and mental wellness screenings and money management programs. The agency also administers a Long-Term Care Ombudsman’s office, where trained staff and volunteers provide advocacy and investigative services to seniors and their families to ensure that their rights are not being violated. 
American Legion Post 21 (503) 435-2218Current and former members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, their survivors and their dependents can join the American Legion. Membership provides opportunities to socialize with other military members, veterans and their families, as well as trained volunteer assistance navigating the red tape involved with applying for service-based benefits. The organization also provides emergency financial assistance in some cases.
