A program available through Medicaid, the Aged and Disabled Waiver offers monthly assistance for seniors who need  help with activities of daily living. The senior meets regularly with a registered nurse to formulate a plan that works for their specific needs. The program can also cover other medically necessary services. It does not, however, cover room and board.
