Edmond Senior Center

Those aged 55 or over can find a variety of activities, programs and services at Edmond Senior Center. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. each weekday. Reservations for lunch must be made one day in advance. Seniors without transportation who live within a six-mile radius of the center can access free transportation but they must first fill out a participation form. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

As the Area Agency on Aging serving Oklahoma County and other surrounding counties, the Areawide Aging Agency provides Edmond residents aged 60 and over with referrals to programs that promote a higher quality of life and encourage independent living. The agency connects seniors, their families and their caregivers with relevant community-based services, administers the federal Senior Nutrition Program by providing nutritious lunches at congregate meal sites and provides assistance with legal matters through the Legal Aid Senior Division. It also maintains a Senior Helpline designed to provide emergency help for seniors in crisis and publishes the Survival Kit for Seniors, which is a comprehensive directory of state resources.
