Ashland Assisted Living Financial Assistance

The Home and Community Based Services Waiver Program pays for assisted living services for qualified seniors in Ashland. Covered services are based on the individual’s needs and may include case management, respite services and adult day services. The center is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and has in-person and virtual age-friendly fitness, art and dance classes, over-the-phone technology assistance and online support groups. The center also hosts options counselors throughout the year. 
FIVCO Area Development District (606) 929-1366 The FIVCO Area Development District is the Area Agency on Aging for the Ashland region. This nonprofit organization serves older adults through a range of services such as nutrition services, transportation and information and referrals. It houses the region’s Aging and Disability Resource Center, which provides seniors with information on long-term care, community-based services and public assistance programs.  
Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs District 17 (859) 432-6121 The local Veterans Affairs office provides information and assistance to older veterans and their dependents or survivors, helping them identify eligibility and apply for programs that may help cover assisted living expenses. Benefits counselors provide in-person and over-the-phone help with accessing pension programs, disability compensation and Aid and Attendance, as well as assisting with denied claims or overpayment.
