Spacious Apartments
Our beautiful, large apartments each
contain full open kitchens and baths, both with natural birch cabinetry, large
customized closets, and a patio or balcony. There are one bedroom plans, plus
a limited number of studio apartments, two bedroom-one bath plans, and two bedroom-two
bath plans. All two bedroom plans (and a few one bedroom plans) feature a washer/dryer
and small family pets are welcome! The rooms have ample, natural lighting with
wall-to-wall carpeting, ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom, and
individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Utilities are included
in your monthly rent, except for cable and telephone service.
Elegant and Cozy Meeting Spaces/Lounges
Lobbies and lounges are located throughout
Winding Commons, providing a variety of gathering places for large or small
groups of residents and their guests. We encourage residents to invite friends
and family to visit any time. Our spacious two-story lobby offers cozy seating
around a large fireplace and a beautiful baby grand piano. Residents may also
enjoy the computer lab, exercise room, TV/media lounge (with 80" big screen),
card room and crafts room. Additionally, friendly nooks with small clusters
of seating provide ideal spots for personal visits with friends. The covered
outdoor dining patios and the uncovered outside courtyard are perfect spots
to enjoy a variety of activities, including sunset cocktails, bridge, barbeques,
or a good book. All of our exterior patios and courtyards provide wonderful
water views with comforting sounds.
Fine Dining
Nutritious and home-style meals are
served twice daily and included in your monthly rent. You can gather with other
residents in our beautiful, friendly dining room to share fine food and great
conversations. You'll be assured carefully planned and cooked, nutritionally
balanced meals without the hassle of meal planning, shopping preparation or
doing the dishes!
Social Activities
You'll be able to find many things
to do each month with our well-designed activities program. We invite musicians
and entertainers to celebrate holidays and birthdays, or sometimes just for fun!
Additionally, we offer exercise classes, day outings to theatres and local sites
of interest, and an occasional gambling weekend to Tahoe or Reno. As a resident,
you're a member of our extended family and you can share companionship
to the degree in which you are comfortable.
On-Site Salon
You won't have to travel far to pamper
yourself. Professional cosmetologists offer complete services for both men and
women through our on-site salon providing full services for hair and nails.
You schedule your own appointment at your convenience and handle payment directly
with the operator.
Convenient Transportation
At Winding Commons, you have the
added bonus of complimentary, scheduled transportation on a private, air-conditioned
van for shopping, banking and a variety of special group activities. If you
prefer to walk, Save Mart, Sav-On Drugs, Ross Dress for Less,
Hallmark Cards and other retailers are conveniently located next door at the
Crestview Shopping Center. Additionally, our weekly chauffeur service can get
you to your local physician's or dentist's office without the annoyance of fighting
traffic or locating a parking space.
Weekly Housekeeping and Laundry
Our weekly maid service includes
vacuuming and light dusting, as well as cleaning kitchen counters, stove-tops and
bathroom fixtures on a weekly basis. We'll even change your bedding. Resident
laundry rooms are complimentary and conveniently located on both floors and
available daily (some plans even include washers and dryers inside the apartment).
If you prefer, you can send out your laundry through a pick up and delivery
service we've arranged for you (an additional fee would apply).
Extra Security and Peace of Mind
Winding Commons' caring staff is
available on-site 24-hours every day. Outside doors are locked in the evening,
and for your protection, only frequently used outside doors are open during
the day. Our staff monitors who enters and leaves the building. And with our
Emergency Call System, you can access staff promptly from your apartment. Each
apartment has been equipped with its own deadbolt lock, fire sprinklers and
smoke detectors. All of this adds up to your ultimate peace of mind.
Convenient Parking
Winding Commons offers ample, open
parking for residents with cars. For a slight additional charge, assigned covered
parking and garages are also available.
