Each and every NCR community is service-enriched and uniquely created to enhance meaningful living and to ensure comfort, affordability, and confidence. Linking residents to available resources in their own communities allows seniors to age-in-place and enhances quality of life.
Senior and Accessible Housing - Senior Housing
NCR's independent living communities for seniors are either Section 202 (government subsidized assisted), Section 236 (government subsidized assisted), or tax-credit properties. The Section 202 and 236 properties offer governmental rental assistance through HUD for residents who meet financial eligibility requirements. Senior/Handicap Housing
These communities provide access and accommodations for seniors and/or handicapped individuals. At Section 202 and 236 properties, the head of the household or his/her spouse must be 55 or over. Ten percent of the apartments are designed to be handicapped-accessible and are reserved for people of any age (over 18) who require the accessibility features of the apartment. At senior/handicap tax-credit properties, residents must be at least 55 or require an accessible apartment. Financial eligibility requirements must be met at all of the above communities.
