As a not-for-profit organization, we have an unwavering commitment to providing the very best in retirement living. At The Kenney, the "bottom line" is the well-being of our residents. Revenue is expended to make life better for residents, not to pay investors. Non-profits typically have a better staff-to-client ratio than for-profit organizations. Our care comes from our hearts. We encourage residents to be as active and independent as possible and tailor our services to meet individual needs in a "continuum of care."

Activities
Residents of The Kenney enjoy active retirement living through planned social activities, entertainment excursions, classes, guest speakers, games and cookouts. We pride ourselves on our community involvement, inviting neighbors to join us for annual summer concerts and taking part in an award-winning intergenerational reading program with nearby elementary school students.
Opportunities for dining and shopping abound in our West Seattle neighborhood. The Kenney operates a bus for group excursions, and we are located on a bus line for trips around the neighborhood or into nearby downtown Seattle. Two large garden areas and open outdoor space offer lovely surroundings for a walk or a picnic. Several comfortable shared living areas are perfect spots for a conversation or a card game with a friend.
A state-of-the-art Fitness Center will be a part of our new assisted living facility. It offers an opportunity within your own community to get and stay healthy through exercise classes and equipment. Religious services are offered each Sunday at The Kenney's chapel.
Health Center
The Calvin Health Center is home to residents with short or long-term health conditions requiring 24 hour nursing care. High quality care is combined with an individualized care plan in a compassionate atmosphere. Residents here take comfort in the fact that friends are nearby and are an integral part of the daily life and activities at The Kenney.

PAYMENT OPTION
Refunds in The Kenney: In The Kenney standard units, if a resident withdraws within five years, the accommodation fee (less two months of meals included in such fee) will be prorated over 60 months.
If the time comes that you need a little help with the activities of daily life -- such as bathing, dressing or taking medications -- you'll get the help you need in The Kenney's new Assisted Living Facility. Our new facility is designed to ensure maximum independence and privacy in a safe, secure environment with round-the-clock attention. Forty-six studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments are available for assisted living residents. Meals are served in the beautiful new dining room, and residents have access to all the activities and amenities of The Kenney.
Large studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments are available within The Kenney. Residents of The Kenney enjoy three delicious meals a day, served at your table in our comfortable dining room. Weekly housekeeping also is provided.
The Ballymena -- Independent Living
With 34 spacious and beautiful retirement apartments, our Ballymena offers all the comforts of living in your own home. Living in The Ballymena offers the freedom to get up and go at anytime. Since you provide for your own meals and housekeeping, this is the perfect situation for those seniors who are active and on the move.
