The Day Room at Savannah Cottage is tally the centerpiece of community interaction. It is designed to encourage residents to take part in appropriate group activities throughout the day. Areas are reserved for residents who would prefer non - structured activities. We offer a full range of activities designed specifically to provide mental, physical and sensory stimulation to residents with Alzheimer's and dementia related disorders.
Dignified Dining
Dining is a dignified experience at Savannah Cottage. Our uniquely designed dining area serves to remind residents of the importance of a regular mealtime. Three "home style" meals are served daily, with accommodations for special diets.
Respite Care
At Savannah Cottage, we understand the importance of caring for a loved one at home for as long as possible. We also acknowledge the needs of families that are providing this care. Our respite program is designed with this in mind. Respite care simply provides short - term care for your loved one without the long - term commitment of moving to a Memory Support community. It is available when needed by family members. The Savannah Cottage Respite Program offers 24 - hour watchful oversight designed for seniors with Alzheimer's and memory disorders. Savannah Cottage also offers short - term stays for those discharged from the hospital who do not require skilled nursing care but who can benefit from our oversight and assistance. In addition, families who function as primary caregivers may, on occasion, need to be away from home and require a safe and home - like environment for their loved one while away.
