Riverview Health Services is located beside Memorial Park and by the shores of the Wisconsin River, providing its residents with beautiful views of the forest beyond. Seniors don’t have far to travel for medical services as Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital is only five minutes away on the opposite shore.
Riverview Health Services helps rehabilitate seniors who have undergone surgery or who are recovering from a serious illness or injury. At a minimum, one physician and a nurse practitioner are on-site for three days every week to support the licensed caregivers. There are also regular psychiatric and pulmonary in-house consultations for residents who require them. Fun activities play a large part in the rehabilitation process, with the facility operating a bowling league and offering volleyball involving water balloons for more able residents. Rooms are regularly cleaned by housekeepers who ensure a regular supply of fresh linen and towels. There’s also a common area where residents can relax and socialize with other seniors recuperating at the facility.
