Each unit has its own patio or balcony for a private touch, while the property has two clubhouses, pool, jacuzzi, & picnic areas for socializing. Programs and scheduled transportation to shopping are free of charge. Age restriction does not apply if you are on full disability, and we accept Section 8 housing vouchers. Praxis of Deerfield Beach is a
family owned and managed senior apartment community developed for adults ages 55
and older who are on a limited budget and want to enjoy an active and
independent lifestyle. Located on the sunny coast of Southeast Florida, we are
conveniently located within minutes to beaches, shopping, entertainment, and
medical facilities. At Praxis, the rent includes all utilities except your
phone and cable. And we accept small pets with a one-time deposit and fee of
just $200.
The community includes two
clubhouses, a computer lab with internet access, pool, jacuzzi, shuffleboards,
picnic areas, car care area, an on-site manager and 24-hour emergency
maintenance.
Praxis Phase II consists
of 96 one bedroom apartments in four two-story buildings. Each building has an
elevator, laundry room, and storage area available to our tenants. Each unit
includes a dining area and bedroom; a full bath with grab bars; and a kitchen
equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and garbage disposal. All units are
air conditioned, carpeted, and have a private patio or balcony.
Praxis Phase III
consists of 128 one and two bedroom units in three four-story buildings. This
phase includes all of the features in Phase II plus a dishwasher, fire
sprinklers, and hurricane shutters.
Praxis was designed with your
health and safety in mind. Each building was built with fire resistant masonry
construction, has assistive devices in the bathrooms, and is equipped with a
keyless entry system so you can identify guests and control who has access to
your building.
The community programs at Praxis focus on keeping you mentally and physically
active. Our Health Watch program keeps an eye on your health with periodic
screenings of your blood pressure and weight. We also host open discussions and
planned seminars.
Social events such as shopping excursions, holiday get-togethers, and other
community activities help to develop a sense of camaraderie among our residents.
This important aspect in our senior community ensures that living a healthy and
socially active lifestyle is never out of your reach.
Residents in the Praxis

We are
not an income based subsidized project, but we do accept housing vouchers from
local housing authorities. Praxis Phase II and Phase III participate in Equal
