Pioneer House is located in the heart of Sacramento, conveniently close to shopping, cultural events, and medical services. The world famous Crocker Art Museum is just one block away! Many more museums, and even Historic Old Sacramento State Park, are just minutes from our front door!

We are a non-profit community providing three levels of care for our residents. Along with our full service Independent Living program, Pioneer House offers Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing programs all in one convenient setting.

This means that, even if your health needs change, you will be able to remain among your friends. This continuum of care is important to couples who desire to remain together as they age at different paces.

Amenities and Services

Pioneer House offers our residents various social and recreational activities throughout each and everyday. These activities include everything from daily exercise, card games, bingo, movie nights, shopping trips and interfaith services.

Every resident is encouraged to make suggestions on activities they would enjoy. Special events are held regularly for added excitement.

Here at Pioneer House we serve three meals, restaurant style daily in our spacious, open dining room.

Our cooking staff provides a variety of "home" style foods. Meals are prepared in-house and reflect the preferences of residents. The dietary department maintains strict compliance with food service regulations.

Every one of our spacious apartments has its own large private balcony - providing lots of natural light and fresh air. Each apartment also features abundant storage, climate control, emergency call systems, and wall-to-wall carpeting.

We have maintenance staff on call 24 hours a day.

All utilities are included in monthly rent except phone and cable.
