"Moving to New Horizons was the smartest thing I have done in years. I was living a comfortable life with my daughter and her family, whom I love dearly. But, I was becoming a recluse. I did not want to go anywhere or do anything. My friends tell me they ware very worried about me and now I have done a complete turnaround and I am back to my normal self. I have control over my life again.
I am very active in the building including floor rep, congress, interviewer, and numerous committees. I have met so many new and wonderful people and continue to do so. My life has meaning again because I feel like I am making a difference. I may not have much money for extras now but I am happy and enjoying life. This may sound sappy, but I feel co-op living has given me my life back, even my daughter is glad I moved even though she was against it at first. But she keeps my old room for me if I ever need it again."
