The Chandler Center

The original two-story brick house of Mr. and Mrs. E.B.  Chandler is now the home of the Chandler Center for adults 55 and older, and is open to both members and non-members.   The Chandler Center offers life-enriching programs and classes, from educational workshops to more leisurely activities, including bridge, line dancing, yoga and tai chi. 

A sampling of programs includes:

Game days for bridge, bunco, dominoes and other table games
Daily lunch in the historic dining room
Special classes and luncheons addressing topics such as nutrition, defensive driving and health care
Monthly day trips to various points of interest in Texas

Retirement Living - Chandler Retirement Apartments

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation - Chandler Health Care

With 126 beds, Chandler Health Care offers a variety of
health care services from intermediate and skilled care to
rehabilitation and respite care.

For those residents who need short-term rehabilitation, Chandler Health Care offers a fully-equipped rehabilitation center staffed by in-house therapists.  Dedicated therapy and nursing staff will work closely with your physician to develop a rehabilitation program that will get the resident back to their home, either in the community or here at Morningside Ministries.

Therapy can be as little as 30 minutes or as much as 3 hours per day depending on the needs and abilities of the resident.
