Depending on your mood, take in an old-time movie with live musical accompaniment! - at the historic Elsinore Theatre, or check out the latest exhibit at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art adjacent to the lush campus of Willamette University, the first university established in the western

You can hike along the picturesque Willamette River at Minto-Brown Island Park, or picnic in the company of spectacular waterfalls at Silver Falls State Park, 30 miles east of Salem in Silverton.
