Activities/Services
The full-time social services director and full-time activities director ensure a well-rounded lifestyle for the residents, respectful of their ability to participate. Two shuttle vans support monthly social outings and resident's appointments. The community Chaplain oversees Bible studies and chapel services. There are arts and crafts, social activities, special events, bingo, entertainment and monthly resident council meetings. The on-site hair salon is convenient for residents to use.
Nursing Staff and Therapeutic Services
Our on-site restorative nursing services compliment the full spectrum of therapy available to Cook Health Care Center residents. Licensed nurses are on duty 24 hours a day. We also proudly offer premier physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as wound therapy and I.V. therapy as required.
Building Description
This 128- bed, single level health care center provides ample room for the many activities and functions planned for the residents, plus private spaces for families to visit. There is a cozy chapel, three lounges, therapy room and two enclosed outdoor courtyards. Cook Health Care Center has a main dining room with large view windows and a private dining room. Opened in 1986, the Health Care Center was renovated in 1996.
