It is currently under the care of the American Lighthouse Foundation, which is partnering with the Town of Kittery to preserve it. Kittery also boasts a variety of cultural and recreational opportunities, from visiting the Kittery Historical and Naval Museum to golfing at courses in nearby York and South Berwick. And for shopping buffs, there is the formidable Kittery Outlets, boasting "one mile of famous name outlet stores."
