At Summerville at Lakeview, we respect the needs of every individual. We understand that interests and favorite activities will vary greatly from one resident to the next. The most wonderful thing is that you can participate as much as you want.There is always something going on at Lakeview and our extensive activity schedule helps to keep our Residents' lives eventful and happy. You can cook meals for friends in our private kitchen, and even serve them in our private dining room.
Our staff of housekeepers will clean your suite and do your laundry while you participate in activities. Our talented cooks will provide meals for you and your guests as well.
We encourage participation in all activities, so bring your uniqueness to Lakeview by sharing your hobbies and interests with our other residents and our activity department.
Activities
At Summerville at Lakeview, every effort has been made to make living here a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. An extensive activities schedule, under the direction of a full time activities director, is an essential element of living at Lakeview. The activities scheduled are intended to promote socialization with new friends as well as to develop new interests and every resident is encouraged to participate in each activity. Family members and volunteers are always welcome to participate and help with activities too!

Dining
At Summerville at Lakeview, all meals are planned by and pre – pared under the direction of a chef and a dietician. Three complete, well – balanced meals are served daily. In addition, residents are also offered an evening snack. Special diet options are available to meet with advised restricted dietary needs.
Meals are served during the following times:

Residents may go to the dining room at any time within the above time spans, choose from a variety of selections offered at each meal and be served by the dining room staff.
Guests
Residents are encouraged and welcome to dine with guests at each meal for a nominal fee. Reservations are appreciated at least 2 hours in advance.
Resident Kitchen and Private Dining Room
Residents may use the resident kitchen and private dining room for special occasions to prepare meals for family and friends and dine in private. The staff will also prepare and serve meals in the private dining room for a nominal guest fee. Advance reservations are necessary.
Housekeeping
Here at Lakeview, full housekeeping and laundry services are provided to all Residents. Each suite is thoroughly cleaned on a regular weekly basis. In addition, beds are made and bathrooms in each suite are cleaned daily . Residents are welcome to participate in the cleaning of their suites if they desire.
Linens and Towels
Bed linens of single size are provided by Lakeview and changed weekly . Towels are also provided and are changed daily .
Personal Laundry
All personal laundry is done by the staff on a weekly basis. If you prefer doing your laundry yourself, a washer and dryer are available for your use. Also provided are a laundry tub, folding table, ironing board, iron and hanging rod. The resident laundry is available at no charge.
Maintenance
All routine suite maintenance is performed by the staff. Emergency maintenance is provided promptly. The staff should be notified of personal requests for hanging pictures or moving furniture.

SummerBrook® Alzheimer's Care Program
Care for persons with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory impairment requires specialized knowledge, dedication, patience and compassion. At Summerville we have designed SummerBrook®, a program of care that combines proven approaches with the sensitivity of a well – trained staff. Residents in SummerBrook® live in a separate, secure section of the community, specially designed to provide a familiar and engaging (yet non – threatening) environment.
SummerBrook® communities feature activity areas where residents and staff can reminisce about nostalgic items such as antique rotary telephones and manual typewriters and the clothing styles of their past. Through discussion of activities and objects from an era familiar to residents, staff can provide thoughtful attention to their needs while helping them enjoy their days in surroundings that make sense to them. As therapeutic as this process is for the resident, family and friends often learn something new about their loved one's past as well.
Now, there's a new care alternative for seniors and their families who need an occasional helping hand. It's called Short Stay Care-the perfect solution for seniors who are being discharged from a hospital or nursing home, but aren't quite ready to go home; or for caregivers who could use a well-earned break.
Short Stay Care residents live in one of our fully furnished apartments with private bath for a few days, a weekend, or a month. During this time, our caring staff attends to their personal needs, from help with activities of daily living to medication management as needed. We also offer a wide range of activities to help residents stay active and make new friends.
