Duncaster was founded by a group of individuals from the greater Hartford area who wanted the security of life care and a voice in the community they lived in. They established a retirement community in Bloomfield, CT that was unlike all the others. The spirit and vitality of our residents is immediately felt as one enters our facility. We pride ourselves in offering a schedule of activities which will satisfy even the most active lifestyle. Other days, the activities may include an in-house play reading, bridge tournament, pool or croquet championship, flower arranging, and trips to Hartford for the opera or a basketball game. Residents also welcome the opportunity to enjoy peaceful moments whenever they wish. They often relax on the Commons Green, tend their herb, vegetable or flower gardens, stroll their pets or catch a breath of fresh air on their balconies.
Duncaster is located among a secluded 87 acres of woodlands, nature trails and gently rolling fields in Bloomfield, CT. Here, three interconnected " neighborhoods " with a total of 189 apartments surround a traditional village green.
