Columbia Place began in 1902 as “Smith's Private Hospital.” For decades this fine old building would serve as a delivery place for hundreds of Bellingham's children. Those of us at Columbia Place are proud of the history that it presents, and today the building has gone full circle, taking care of the same generation, and, in some cases, the same children who were born here so many years ago.
