Refundable Security/Cleaning Deposit
A $500.00 deposit will put your name on our Carman Oaks Waiting List. Upon moving in, your $500.00 is retained as Moving-in Fee.
Monthly Rent (not a "buy-in") includes three meals per day for Assisted Living, two meals (lunch and dinner) for Independent Living, all utilities (except phone and cable), weekly housekeeping and linen service, activities and social programs.

Carman Oaks Assisted Living offers four different apartment styles-all with residential design. Assisted living services are provided by our trained staff and directed by a registered nurse.
Monthly rent includes: services as per level of care assessment, utilities (except phone and cable TV), personally controlled heat and air conditioning, weekly housekeeping, linen services, 3 meals daily, snacks, 24 hour staffing and an activities program.

Level I, $100:
This level of support is directed toward our more self-sufficient residents. We discreetly monitor health and well-being, as well as provide mealtime safety checks and friendly personal reminders for medications, meals, showers, grooming, and appointments.
Level II, $350:
In addition to all the services of Level I, we provide greater assistance with medications, and twice a week furnish bathing assistance (or standby assistance). Our staff also occasionally helps with dressing setups, dining room escort services, and incontinence reminders. Weekly personal laundry service is available.
Level III, $650:
This level offers the greatest assistance to our residents. All the services of Levels I and II, plus hygiene and grooming, and dining room escort services. To maintain each resident's sense of dignity, our staff also provides incontinence management programs.

Our administrator, Dorothy Rouse is a registered nurse and supervises every aspect of each resident's care. Our resident service coordinator, caregivers and chef work together to custom design individualized service plans. Caregivers are on duty 24-hours a day, providing assistance, friendly support and encouragement.
While many aspects of Carman Oaks Assisted Living are brag-worthy, two accomplishments rise to the top. First, is our staff consistency, with a remarkably low employee turn-over rate. Secondly, our community has earned a deficiency-free annual survey for many years.
Basic Residential Requirements
Following the completion of an application, potential residents require an assessment to determine the appropriate level of care based on a point system. The monthly rate is based on the size and location of the apartment, as well as the determined care level.

One of life's simplest yet significant pleasures is indulging in culinary delights over thoughtful conversation. Meal times are perfect opportunities to connect with other residents and enjoy a wide selection of specialty dishes. We take pride in our chef's variety of flavors and use of nourishing ingredients.
Events and Activities
Music, performance, and special celebrations are important at Carman Oaks. We celebrate birthdays, holidays, and anything else we can come up with! We also hold special in-house musical performances, including local singing groups, bands , and jazz groups.
Our Activity Director puts together a special calendar of events to enjoy. Outings such as scenic drives, museum tours, theater productions, musical performances, nursery tours, shopping excursions, lunch outings, and trips to the bank, physician offices, or cleaners are scheduled.
Weekly, local clergy from the Lake Oswego area provide a variety of faith-based services. A dedicated volunteer facilitates a weekly Bible study. In addition, coordinated transportation to local places of worship is made available.
Join us for a daily exercise class or visit the exercise room on you own. For the residents who love to walk, we have a great walking path around the building and a pleasant neighborhood to roam. Or, join us for one of the many classes led by residents.
