Belmont Village was founded to provide a better way for seniors to lead happy, self-directed lives in a supporting community that has been designed from the ground up to be sensitive to senior living. Residents enjoy 3 meals daily and snacks, weekly housekeeping, social activities, scheduled transportation for medical appointments and shopping, cable, utilities except telephone. Personal care and medication management, as needed.

The spirit of community
Finally,
an Assisted Living community built for life. A unique village designed from
the ground up not just to meet, but to exceed the expectations of the seniors
who live here. Where seniors dance in Town Hall and e-mail family and friends
from the Center for Learning. Where they tend gardens and stroll along landscaped
paths. Where residential parlors and a Bistro invite conversation, and Josephine's
Kitchen serves meals reminiscent of home. Where a carefully selected and highly
trained staff provides residents with the assistance they need and the independence
to live life to the fullest.
This is Belmont Village, a very special village planned and built to be sensitive
to the needs of seniors. The result is more than a place to live, it's a community
where residents can learn, grow, and feel connected to others who share their
experiences and place in life.
Welcome to Belmont Village and the spirit of our Assisted Living community.
A community built for life
From
the moment you walk through the doors, the Belmont Village community welcomes
all. The Great Room has sitting areas and conversation nooks, a piano, a stone
fireplace, even a concierge ready to provide information and assist residents
in arranging transportation.
A design for living
The physical layout of Belmont Village reflects that of a small town, with gathering
areas in the center and residences clustered in small neighborhoods. In the
heart of our community is the Village Main Street, where seniors can visit with
friends and family, participate in activities, pick up mail, and shop for sundries.
There's even a Village Bistro where residents enjoy snacks, happy hours, and
socializing with friends.
Personal Comforts
Welcome to your neighborhood
One of the most unique features of Belmont Village is its neighborhood concept.
Private residences are grouped around living areas called parlors. Our residents
are encouraged to use these comfortable rooms as extensions of their own spaces,
for socializing with neighbors and entertaining friends. They're even invited
to enhance their parlors with personal furnishing and mementos.
Like
front porches in many small towns, outdoor patios and sitting areas at the end
of each neighborhood also promote interaction. And neighborhood bulletin boards
help residents stay in touch with one another and informed about Village events.
Taking Care
Most important at Belmont Village is the health and well-being of each of our
residents. We take great care to balance the support seniors need with the independence
they desire.
Even before moving into Belmont Village, each of our residents is introduced
to a Personal Assistance Liaison (PAL) who helps with the activities of daily
living and provides a daily wellness check.
Focusing on seniors at the Center for Learning
The Belmont Village personnel selection program was professionally designed
to identify qualified and compassionate individuals to care for our residents.
Training is extensive and in fact, at Belmont Village, staff training and development
is an ongoing process.
Center for Senior Health
Wherever possible, Belmont Village collaborates with a local healthcare system
to arrange for a freestanding health center on the Village grounds. Residents
of Belmont Village and people of the surrounding community can access and benefit
from the center's offerings: primary healthcare with a focus on senior health.
Person-Centered Living® for Alzheimer's residents
At Belmont Village, the hallmark of our support philosophy is our program for
people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Based on extensive
research by experts who have received support from the National Institutes of
Health for their studies of Alzheimer's disease, our program is founded on an
understanding of dementia disorders and a recognition of the individuality of
people with dementia.
Through a proprietary program we call Person-Centered Living, we spend time
getting to know the individual likes and dislikes of each resident with dementia.
Highly personalized programs are developed for each of our residents —
programs centered on routine, structure, and the abilities of each individual.
Our dementia residents can then participate in meaningful tasks that not only
engage the individual, but maintain dignity and comfort.
