We are a Kansas not for profit 501 c3 organization honored to serve a vibrant, caring community of elders……our elders are your neighbors, your mothers, fathers, uncles and aunts……they have not disengaged but continue to live their lives to the fullest each and every day…..and they continue to contribute to the town around us. Independent living at SunPorch offers active seniors a retirement community enriched by friendly neighbors, a wide range of services and amenities, and a host of educational and entertainment opportunities. Our program consists of rehabilitation/post acute care, long term skilled nursing care, memory support and apartments for independent living. Our building is licensed by the state and federal government as a skilled nursing home that provides short term Medicare covered care and long term care covered under Medicaid. We have many private suites with the comforts of home and a philosophy of wellness, rehabilitation, freedom, nurturing, and safety. Each day our elders set their own schedule, pursuing a hobby or personal activity or have lunch with a friend at the local café. Our goal is to facilitate the elders’ independence and ability to pursue their interests. Our staff are provided intensively trained and empowered to carry out their services compassionately and competently.
