Driver’s License

New residents must obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of establishing residence. Call 215-698-8100 or 1-800-842-3926.

Driver’s License fee is approximately $22.00. When applying for a license provide valid license, vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and valid ID.

Vehicle Registration

Provide vehicle title, present registration to the nearest License Tag Agency. Annual car registration is approximately $24.00. Any vehicle purchased less than six months prior to moving to Pennsylvania will be subject to state sales tax.

Register at the courthouse of the county in which you reside or register by mail, forms available at a US Post Office. Requirements include residency in the election district 30 days prior to election, you must be at least 18 years of age, and a US citizen 30 days before being eligible to vote.
